Merchandise Inventory Controller- Entry Level

Special Duties and
Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to promote the park with the utmost enthusiasm and pride while providing clerical support to the Retail office.
  • Ensure a safe and clean work area.
  • Keep Retail records current.
  • Enter purchase order data into inventory systems for new and reordered product.
  • Perform weekly inventory of vital products to ensure proper stock levels.
  • Key inter-store and inter-department transfers, along with all store damages.
  • Process suggested distributions from warehouse to park as instructed by Upper Management.
  • Relay all markdowns from Corporate to appropriate locations.
  • Monitor inventory and help reduce aged inventory throughout the park.
  • Interact with finance, delivering reports timely and accurately.
  • Interact with vendors and ensure proper upkeep of vendor-maintained racks.
  • Responsible for other clerical duties as necessary.
  • Maintain proper attendance and timeliness.
  • Resolve Guest concerns that may arise on a daily basis.
  • Ensure standards of performance for all areas within their responsibilities are met.
  • Cooperate with all team members and managers.
  • Complete any and all tasks as requested by Six Flags Management.
  • Train new management on proper inventory management- paperwork, product flow, etc.
  • Work directly with Full time supervisor to assist in implementing specific inventory programs
  • Work with warehouse team as needed to monitor inventory levels in the Retail department

Qualities of a Successful Inventory Controller:

  • Must possess above average communication skills.
    Must react well in stressful and emergency situations.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Able to analyze data & solve problems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft excel and other Microsoft products.
  • Prior experience in inventory program applications Oracle, Eatec, Aptos or other Retail/Warehouse applications preferred.
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Safety conscious.
  • Outgoing and friendly demeanor.
  • Willing to actively engage guests.
  • Demonstrate respect, professionalism and leadership.

Additional Job Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Able to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Available to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Must have customer service skills and the ability to follow directions.
  • Requires continuous sitting or standing, bending, eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing, and speech.
    Requires frequent kneeling, manual dexterity, gross motor skills, and color definition.
    Requires using a telephone.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 6 hours at a times and as many
  • as 14 hours a day.
  • Must be able to walk up to 3 miles per day over various surfaces.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs consistently.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs over 25 feet over various surfaces.
  • Must be able to lift and lower 5 lbs above shoulder level.
  • Must be able to climb a stepladder up to 6 ft.
    in height.

Other Functions:
All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
