This expansion would not be possible without our dedicated staff members working on the front lines - the Direct Support Professionals & Program Managers.
Direct Support Professionals & Program Managers make it their mission to ensure the comfort and safety of each client. They spend day-in and day-out focused on helping their clients succeed. They see them at their best and at their worst. Their relationship is one of mutual respect and admiration. Direct Support Professionals become clients' second family or, in some cases, only family.
Role of a Program Manager:
Assist in activities of daily living skills
Administer or assist with prescribed medication
Provide transportation
Assists in the implementation of individual plans for individuals and behavioral plan goals
Assists individuals in the pursuit of recreational, social and community activities based on their preferences and individual plans
Support people to achieve personal outcomes that characterize a high quality of life

Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED
Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks/drug screen
Clear tuberculosis screening
A valid driver's license, no more than 5 points or DUI in last 3 years
Ability to pass and maintain required trainings such as CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration and Positive Behavioral Support Training
Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (preferred but not required)

In order to be eligible for employment, applicant must not have more than 5 points on their driving record and no DUIs within the last 3 years.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:
Responsible for overall operation and management of assigned program.
Work in conjunction with Director of Services in screening and selection of referrals to program.
Design and implement Individual Service Plans for clients.
Carry out IHP goals and Positive Support Plans designed by Behavior Analyst.
Coordinate of medical services to clients, ensuring appropriate, effective and efficient interventions, appropriate documentation of medical services and follow-up.
Demonstrate working knowledge of medical needs of clients and medical issues.
Complete staff appraisals
Ensure staff attend required trainings in the established time frame
Supervise program staff including recommendation of hiring and termination, assignment of duties, instruction of methods, documentation of employees' progress, and collection and submission of time sheets and travel vouchers
Ensure all program staff are appropriately trained and maintain program training records.
Responsible for adherence to budgetary guidelines
Responsible for monitoring and ensuring safe-keeping of funds including clients' monies and programs' petty cash fund and charges.
Serve as liaison and responsible for fostering positive relationships between program and inter-agency departments, family members, neighbors, medical providers, day support programs/employers, DHS representatives, etc.
Provision of appropriate community integration opportunities for clients
Conduct monthly staff meeting
Provides direct care support to clients receiving services in areas of, but not limited to, medical (diet and nutrition), daily living skills, money management, personal growth and development, vocational training, socialization, community integration, self preservation, community awareness and safety, and communication.
Strong interpersonal & effective communication skills required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
